Arsenal manager and former Arsenal striker Arsene “Arsene” Wenger has long been interested in the world class talents in the Premier League.

Arsenal, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, have long been considered as potential destinations for the likes.

But it is a matter of when, not if, Wenger would be willing to sign a world class talent in the first place.

He is currently in the middle of his fourth season at Arsenal, and his current squad is in need of more attacking options.

So far, only two of Arsenal’s top five players in the team, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, have been confirmed as potential summer signings.

But with the season under way, it appears the Gunner manager will be looking to bring in a player of Wenger’s calibre at some stage.

In a recent interview with French radio station TF1, Wenger said: “I want to sign players that are very good in terms of their performances and their qualities.”

While it is difficult to gauge the exact amount of money Wenger would pay for such a player, he did not rule out making a bid for a player such as Luis Suarez or Neymar.

“I don’t think it is impossible to sign [Suarez],” Wenger said.

“But I would be very surprised if he did it, because he would be so expensive.”

The Catalan, who is currently on loan at Liverpool, has been linked with a move to Barcelona, with Arsenal a potential destination.

While there are currently no details of the terms of his move, it is understood that Wenger has asked Liverpool if he can sign the midfielder next season.

“It is possible,” Wenger added.

“We will see what happens.

It is not clear yet whether the transfer will be completed, but it’s possible.”

In the past, it has always been a question of where you want to go, so it will be very important for me to be at the right club in the right moment.
