Police in Toronto say a soccer ball that struck a woman in the head is being treated for a possible brain injury.
The victim was riding her bike to her workplace when the ball struck her head.
She was taken to hospital where she later died.
“She did not sustain any injuries other than to the head,” said Const.
Jennifer Fratiglio with Toronto police.
Police say the soccer ball was not on the ground when it hit the woman and she was not struck by it.
The ball hit the ground at a high speed and struck her in the face.
Police say there was no indication that there was anything suspicious about the woman’s vehicle.
Investigators say they are still looking into whether the woman suffered any permanent injuries.
